Scheduling & Accountability

Date Location & Punctuality: We strive to match within our standard 40-mile radius with regard to distance unless you are open to meeting matches further than that. Please take travel time and parking into account when preparing for your date so that you arrive on time.

Please note that the date location is chosen factoring in both parties’ locations. Our goal is to find something convenient for everyone.

Note: We’re excited to have you in our community, but please note that repeated cancellations may affect future match opportunities, as we aim to respect everyone’s time and commitment.

Subsequent Dates: We’ll arrange your first introduction and date, and if you both feel a connection and wish to continue seeing each other, the journey is yours to explore! After your date, we’ll touch base with each of you individually to hear your thoughts and happily assist in exchanging contact information. From there, the potential for a wonderful relationship is in your hands!

Date Feedback: The day after the date, you will receive a feedback form via email. Please fill it out as soon as possible, with candor and detail, while things are fresh in your mind. Your response is for Tawkify’s eyes only (your match will never see it). After you have completed the feedback form, you will receive a message summary from the Matchmaker.

2 Stars: A “DISSATISFIED” date experience that concerns you. There is significant room for improvement - our Client Success team will reach out to you.

1 Star: A “VERY DISSATISFIED” date experience that leaves you less motivated than when you started. This was a poor experience - our Client Success Team will reach out to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who pays for the date?

A: Both parties are responsible for covering the cost of what they consume during the date. However, it's always appreciated when someone offers to pick up the tab if they feel a connection and would like to meet again.

Q: What if I need to make changes to my profile (change locations, etc.)?

A: You may choose to update your profile yourself by logging into your dashboard, or you may opt to email customersuccess@tawkify.com and they will be happy to assist you.

Q: What is the process if a Matchmaker is interested in a potential match for one of their Clients?

A: It’s possible a matchmaker may have more questions and reach out. This may occur via text or email or you may see a request for a phone (or, in some cases, a video) chat. How quickly you are able to supply your availability or respond to questions or client presentations will affect the cadence of this process.

Q: Am I guaranteed matches or is there a particular timeline I should expect?

A: Timeline can vary based on the particular demographics and requirements of the Clients in our database, and due to the very nuanced nature of this business. As a Member of our database, matches are not guaranteed. Only Clients have guaranteed matching and have a Matchmaker searching on their behalf. You may inquire more about becoming a client by contacting customersuccess@tawkify.com.

Q: Why are they blind dates? Why can’t I see match profiles?

A: We’re a matchmaking service, not a dating site. Your identity (and all of the members in our network) is confidential. With us, humans rather than computers make all the matches. Our profiles are used exclusively for this purpose. Moreover, it’s more effective. Online daters swiping through photos match themselves successfully less than 10% of the time. Our search and screen process has proven to be up to 8x more effective.

Q: What happens if I decide to cancel my date with 48 hours or less notice?

A: We strongly discourage this. We can facilitate a phone number exchange or reschedule if, and only if, the other party is open to it.

Q: Will I come out of this experience with a relationship or marriage?

A: Relationships and marriages are not guaranteed. We are a dating concierge and our service facilitates expert introductions based on potential compatibility. We are process-oriented, not outcome-oriented.

Q: Are all of the matches I like going to like me back?

A: Although we can guarantee that both parties are a match based on the provided criteria, such does not imply the occurrence of chemistry or guaranteed mutual interest. Such as in regular dating, it is normal that some matches will like you with no reciprocity, and vice versa.

Q: Are the people participating in your service using other dating services?

A: Our database does not consist of an exclusive set of people only we have access to. Many of our Clients and Members are also actively using dating apps and online dating sites.

Q: Will I experience chemistry/be attracted to my dates?

A: We cannot predict chemistry, attraction, or love. Ideas of beauty are subjective; finding someone attractive and being attracted to someone are not mutually exclusive. We typically see some level of attraction with matches we facilitate!

Q: What happens if I mark YES to seeing the person again

A: Your matchmaker will exchange phone numbers. You will remain active in the database and will still be able to be matched with other Clients.

Q: If my date is late can I leave?

A: We highly encourage a grace period of 25 minutes to account for any extenuating/emergency circumstances and the limitations in direct communication due to privacy constraints. The Date Concierge is on standby via text message at (415) 993-9494 if you are ever having trouble finding your date.

Q: How are Screening Videos stored?

A: Videos are securely stored in our Tawkify platform and visible only to internal Tawkify matchmakers and team members. We store the information provided to us via encryption and industry best practices according to web and cloud computing standards. These security and storage standards are applied to all data received and managed by Tawkify, including personal information and videos. (Please see your privacy policy and service agreement for details). Videos remain on file until you notify Client Success of a profile or video deletion.
