Match Cadence: Your package is designed to keep us on track but it’s quite typical to vary with match cadence; we tend to work at an organic pace based on match opportunities. There may be as little as a few days or as many as several months between matches and dates.
48-hour Cancellation/Rescheduling: Date cancellations/rescheduling requests with less than 48-hour notice from the time of the date may result in a forfeiture of your match. This includes canceling the date entirely and/or rescheduling with 48 hours or less notice. If you forfeit your date, the date still counts towards your match package. You may opt for a phone number exchange in lieu of the actual date, but this does still count towards your package.
Rescheduling: You are expected to keep your date once it is scheduled. If for some reason you need to reschedule, a date can be rescheduled on your behalf.
Vacation: Any foreseeable periods of unavailability such as a planned vacations must be disclosed to your matchmaker as soon as possible. In situations where you are unavailable for longer than three weeks, we may be able to offer you a pause option. Remember, we are always screening so pausing your experience will stop the screening process, but you may unpause at any point in time to continue.
Date Location & Punctuality: We strive to match within a 40-mile geographical radius or less with regard to distance unless you are open to meeting matches further than that radius. In addition to this geographical radius, we also match throughout your selected metros which may exceed 40 miles in some cases. This means that you might be driving 30+ minutes to meet your date. It is important to take travel time and parking into account when preparing for your date so that you arrive on time.
Please note that the date location is chosen at your matchmaker’s discretion based on the availability and preferences of the client first and foremost. We try as hard as possible to find something convenient for both parties involved while sticking to the style and parameters around the sort of date you would like to have as determined in your welcome meeting.
Follow-Up Dates: Tawkify specializes in arranging your initial introduction, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable first meeting. As part of your VIP experience, if you and your match feel a mutual connection and wish to meet again, your Matchmaker will gladly arrange a second date.
Pausing: VIP Clients may pause for six (6) months at a time and are allowed a maximum of four (4) pause periods. Tawkify’s Cancellation and Refund Policy provides more detail on pausing the Services. When you would like to return simply reach out to Customer Service to unpause your account or extend your pause.
Match Presentation, Planning & Date Finalization: When we have a match for you, we will reach out to present the match. Once consent is given, we will take your availability and begin planning with your match. This stage of the process is called a “match in planning.” Match details and dates of availability are presented over text/email without exception; this part of the process is called “match presentation.”
Match Details Disclosure: All dates will fit the top 6 objective Approval Search Criteria on your profile and we will try our best to align your preferences as well. Although we will do our best to be as transparent as we can, due to our stringent commitment confidentiality policy you will only be provided a few details about your match prior to meeting them. You may have questions about your match beyond what we are able to share; please respect that matchmakers are bound by the Company confidentiality policy.
Match Refusal: All of the matches presented to you are chosen with careful consideration and take into account your preferences and priorities and are therefore not rejectable. If for any reason you decline a match upon presentation, the match will be forfeited after review subject to other policies.
Date Night Communications: Our Date Concierge Team assists with all communication on the day of your match. They can be reached via text ONLY here: (415) 993-9494. Please save this number now. If a reservation has not been made for your date, then two hours prior to your scheduled date both parties will be asked for outfit details so that you two can easily recognize each other upon arrival.
Date Feedback: The day after the date, you will receive a feedback form via email. Please fill it out as soon as possible, with candor and detail, while things are fresh in your mind. The feedback form is for Tawkify’s eyes only (your match will never see it). After you have completed the feedback form, you will hear from your Matchmaker on if you would like to connect about the date. If so you and your Matchmaker will have a date debrief via phone or Zoom. It’s important that we try to connect within 72 hours of your date.
Multiple Date Planning: Should you want to participate at a faster pace, we can schedule more than one date at a time. Please note that if you opt into this, you may not have time to submit and review date feedback prior to your next date. Agreeing to Multiple Dates in Planning will not provide you with additional matches but simply increase the cadence of your remaining matches.
Yes-Yes Match: Both parties liked each other in some way and would be open to seeing each other again. When both parties have confirmed they are interested in seeing each other again via the feedback form, a number exchange will be facilitated so that the two of you may get in touch for a second date.
Yes-No Match: One person wants to see their date again while the other person does not want to see their date again. A number exchange is NOT facilitated in this case. This does not prevent you from asking for or giving out your number at your own discretion.
No-No Match: Both parties do not wish to see each other again. A number exchange is NOT facilitated in this case.
All match outcomes count as a match toward your package total.
5 Stars: A “VERY SATISFIED” date experience that exceeds your expectations.

3 Stars: A “NEUTRAL” date experience that is decent by all means. I feel
so-so about the experience and see room for improvement.
2 Stars: A “DISSATISFIED” date experience that concerns you. There is
significant room for improvement - our Client Success team will reach out to
you.
1 Star: A “VERY DISSATISFIED” date experience that leaves you less
motivated than when you started. This was a terrible experience - our Client
Success Team will reach out to you.
Client Members: Clients, like you, have paid for a guaranteed amount of dates, have a matchmaker working on their behalf, and get the full experience.
Matchable Members: Matchable Members are members who pay an annual fee to be in our database to be matched with our Clients; they are only matched with a Client when we have a potential fit.
Invited Members: Invited Members (also known as Recruited Members or Trial Members) are similar to Matchable Members in that they are only matched when we have a potential fit, except they do not pay an annual fee to be part of our network, rather Tawkify directly invited them into our network.
Invited Members come to Tawkify through a variety of channels, including but not limited to, networking events, networking sites, social media sites, and singles dating sites. No matter the type of member, we hold all of our participants to the same integrity standards and dating etiquette; everyone goes through the same screening and intake process – that process is a prerequisite to becoming a member in our network. You will not know what type of member your date is as revealing such information is a direct breach of our member confidentiality policy.

Q: Why are they blind dates? Why can’t I see match profiles?
A: We’re a matchmaking service, not a dating site. Your identity (and all of the members in our network) is confidential. With us, humans rather than computers, make all the matches. Our profiles are used exclusively for this purpose. Moreover, it’s more effective. Online daters swiping through photos match themselves successfully less than 10% of the time. Our search and screen process has proven to be up to 8X more effective..
Q: What happens if I know my date?
A: It is rare, but occasionally two people are set up and it happens that they know each other in some capacity. Because we are a blind and confidential service, we cannot account for when this happens and as such, the date will still count, but our Customer Success team will work to find a way to make it right for you.
Q: What happens if I decide to cancel my date with 48 hours or less notice?
A: If you cancel your date with 48 hours or less notice, your date may automatically be forfeited. We can facilitate a phone number exchange or reschedule if, and only if, the other party is open to it.
Q: Will I come out of this experience with a relationship or marriage?
A: Relationships and marriages are not guaranteed. We are a dating concierge and our service facilitates expert introductions based on potential compatibility. We are process-oriented, not outcome-oriented.
Q: Will all of the matches that say they want to see me again via the feedback form ask me out on a second date?
A: Your date’s feedback may come back positive and say that they are open to seeing you again, but your date asking you out for a second date is not guaranteed. We simply cannot force any of our participants to ask you out for a second date, nor can we ask them why. This is part of the confidentiality agreement we have with everyone. Anything outside of the first introduction is beyond our control.
Q: Are all of the matches I like going to like me back?
A: Although we can guarantee that both parties are a match based on provided criteria, such does not imply the occurrence of chemistry or guaranteed mutual interest. Such as in regular dating, it is normal that some matches will like you with no reciprocity, and vice versa.
Q: Are the people participating in your service using other dating services?
A: Our database does not consist of an exclusive set of people only we have access to. Many of our Client to non-Client Members are also actively using dating apps and online dating sites.
Q: Are Invited Members as committed to this process as I am even if they are not financially invested?
A: Financial investment and emotional investment are not mutually exclusive concepts; non-paying members are just as invested in a real connection as paying members.
Q: Will I experience chemistry/be attracted to my dates?
A: We cannot predict chemistry, attraction, or love. Ideas of beauty are subjective; finding someone attractive and being attracted to someone are not mutually exclusive. We typically see some level of attraction with matches we facilitate!
Q: Will my matchmaker tell me everything my match said about me during the feedback session?
A: Date feedback is confidential; we only discuss feedback that is constructive, empowering, and useful.
Q: If my date is late can I leave?
A: We encourage a grace period of 25 minutes. If you, as a client, are late by more than 25 minutes and your match leaves, the date will be considered a match forfeit.
Q: Is a matchmaker a therapist or a coach?
A: No, a matchmaker is not a therapist. We do not provide therapy and we are not licensed to give psychological advice. We do, however, offer coaching options with our Tawkify coaching team, and you may choose to opt-in or opt-out of that enhancement.
